Quick thank you note to everyone who performed, helped out or just put their hand in their pockets to help the cause. We're awaiting the final count from the collection pots but, taking everything into account, we're confident we broke the £300 barrier for Denise to split between the three charities.

Pics will be up on the gallery soon and then the website will be getting a complete overhaul as we look towards our next project, so check back soon!

LINE-UP CHANGES!
Couple of enforced changes to the bill. The legendary Hard and Fast have split up (again!, though we may see them turn up on the bill at some point) and Branden Baxley can't make it so we're very happy that two great local acts have jumped in to help us out.
-
Dendera will open the festival in The Gun Room with some lunchtime metal! Influences include Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Dream Theater
-
Cal Owen fills the same spot on the Sunday, chilled out acoustic indie vibes to nicely shake off the previous day's hangover!
Massive thanks to both of these acts for stepping in

More bands for you to check out!
The White Coats - ' The White Coats always provide fun and entertainment to everyone who sees them. They broadcast a very Punk like style with their lyrics, but stick to the happiness of the ska music, adding a unique mix of fun and seriousness...genius!'
Septic Psychos - Old school punk with a 30 year back story
Alistair Goodwin - A true original and a major part of the Portsmouth music scene, Singer-songwriter and acoustic music promoter Al Goodwin's 'gutsy, driven acoustic roots' is reminiscent of Turin Brakes, Jeff Buckley and Tom McRae.

TIME TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
Two days, 30+ bands! This is the first of some help to get to know who's playing at War and Wine 2010. Gonna start with the headliners:

The Skints - We are proud to bring The Skints to War and Wine, an amazing reggae and dub band with a punk background. Visiting Portsmorth before slots at Lounge On The Farm as well as Leeds and Reading festivals, this East London band will bring our Saturday to a close

Bemis - A four-piece folk duo(!), this band has gone from strength to strength over the last 3 years. Quickly becoming a standard at local festivals, they've also played the Bearded Theory Festival in '09 and '10

NewRising - '...acoustic folk with funk, drive, passion and power..' With festival slots booked at Guilfest, Secret Garden Party and Bestival for this year, we're fortunate to have this Guilford Trio headline the Gun Room on the Saturday

THE SKINTS CONFIRMED AS HEADLINER!!
War and Wine are proud to announce our Saturday headliner are THE SKINTS.

'The Skints were formed in 2005, then London teenagers knee-deep in a music scene ruled by ska-punk kings Capdown and King Prawn but it wasn’t long before they had reached way back to the likes of Augustus Pablo and Max Romeo for their altogether more rootsy inspiration. Having spent the last year gigging hard and writing their debut album, the band have managed - under their own steam - to rack up an impressive set of both headline and support shows across the UK, including tours with The King Blues, The Slackers, The Aggrolites and many others.'
